Corunna High School vs Goodrich High School
27.5 2.5

Goodrich came in today shorthanded with 4 bowlers for the Bakers and 3 girls for the regular games. Corunna capitalized on this even though they had just completed a first meet in the double-header. Corunna swept the Bakers series 231-168 leaving Goodrich girls with a 10-point deficit going into the regular games. Goodrich had games of 437 and 459 to Corunna’s 744 and 689 scores. Goodrich high scorers included junior Paige Toms, with games of 152 and 184, followed by fellow junior Renee LeBlanc with a 142 in Game 2. Paige had 1.5 individual wins and Renee had 1 win. Rounding out the scoring for Goodrich were seniors Maggie Brownrigg (whom had to leave in the 5th frame) and Emily Hill. “It’s always tough when the Snowcoming Dance interferes with bowling but every team has something that interferes. We’re dealing with injuries to a couple of my powerhouse bowlers too! Hopefully soon it all comes together for us. At least we’re all having fun and being so shorthanded, we still walked away with 2 and a half points so don’t count us out yet!”—Shelley Zuwala (Goodrich Girls Coach)
