Over the Holiday break Goodrich Wrestling hosted the 27th Tournament of Champions. This tournament regularly brings together some of the toughest competitors from all divisions. Goodrich finished in fourth place among ten ranked teams in the eighteen team field.
Junior Caleb Teague had a standout performance winning the 119 pound weight class and Most Valuable Wrestler honors for the lower weights. Teague defeated defending state champ Lajoie from Gaylord and state placer Zelenka from St. Johns en route to his championship.
Goodrich’s other finalists Honour Kline 189 and Blake Coffell 285 battled their way to the championship finals and finished runner-up.
