On a cool and dry day with no wind the Goodrich Cross Country Boys won the 16-2 Regional at Linden placing their top 5 runners in the top 13 of the field of 77. This is the first Cross Country boys Regional victory in Goodrich school History.
First for Goodrich and second overall was sophomore Gabe Trudeau who ran a very smart race in a time of 16:45.9. Second for Goodrich and 8th overall was junior Lucas Oberle with a time of 17:25.15. Third for Goodrich and 10th overall was Junior Carter Lauinger who finished with a time of 17:37.41. Fourth for Goodrich and 11th overall was senior Drew Himmelspach with a time of 17:40.1. Fifth for Goodrich and 13th overall was senior Charlie Ballmer who finished with a time of 17:43.19. Sixth for Goodrich and 26th overall was senior Luke Giza who finished with a time of 18:24.34. Seventh for Goodrich and 36th overall was sopomore Landen Andre with a time of 18:49.79. The Goodrich Boys will compete in the State Meet on 2 November.
In the Open race Freshmen Isaiah Dunn ran an impressive 19:48, the fastest 5K of his life..
