It rained hard for the entire morning, many of the grassy and low areas of the course were flooded with 8 inches of water. The non-grass areas were slippery and very muddy.. Fortunately our runners were up to the challenge of the weather, the course and competition. The results, another victory for the Goodrich Martians. We put 5 runners in the top 15. Mark Wood was first for Goodrich and sixth 6th overall in a time of 16:38. Zach Duval finished 10th overall and second for Goodrich with a time of 17:08 while Carter Lauinger was 11th overall and third for Goodrich with a time of 17:16. Gabe Trudeau finished 14th overall and 4th for Goodrich in a time of 17:21 while Drew Himmelspach finished 15th overall and fifth for Goodrich with a time of 17:22, a new personal best in the worst racing conditions of the season.
Luke Giza was sixth for Goodrich with a time of 19:01 and Lucas Oberle was close behind with a time of 19:08. Charlie Ballmer, fighting an injury, finished in a time of 20:07 and Landen Andre finished in a time of 21:16.
Our two runners Junior Varsity runners Hunter Stonerock and Kurtis Clary finished in 20:02 and 22:43 respectively.
